This event features freestyle and classic cross-country ski races, a snowshoe race, and a rookie race! Enjoy a variety of events for all ages and abilities.
The race course includes part of the historic Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and is located in the southern San Juan Mountains, north of Chama, New Mexico and southwest of Antonito, Colorado. The course includes rolling hills, aspen groves, open meadows, and forests of spruce and fir.
It’s not all about the races, though! The Ski Classic weekend includes tours, ski clinics, a costume contest (fun for the kids), and an Awards Ceremony. Detailed schedule coming soon! Newly opened Outlaw BBQ will be the location for our awards ceremony both Saturday and Sunday.
Registration and Bib Pickup will be available both Friday and Saturday nights (January 13th and 14th) TBD in Chama from 5:30-7:00pm. Race bibs will also be available for pickup at the race site from 9:00-9:45am. Races start at 10am.
